I am a tree.
Rooted down. Unmoveable.
Winds may rock, the tree dances and sways.
Bows may break.
It stubbornly holds on to its life-giving roots.
It stands tall, but runs deep, pulling every ounce of goodness from the soil below.
It persists on feeding from the good earth.
If it pulls enough light and goodness, the tree produces good fruits.
Today I meditated on what wisdom is, what it provides and what it can do in one’s life if honoured.
Proverbs 3:15 Wisdom is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
It offers a promise that when slowed down and thought on, shifts every ounce of what we worship in western society. More precious than rubies…and I wonder (myself included) how fast we would all trade in the unseen gifts for…mere rubies. Stuff. Things. Goods.
Today I am going to start hunting, seeking and treasuring the unseen and allowing my outward life to be transformed…are you with me?
